Reid is Two Months Old!

Our littlest man is two months old...already! It's true some of the days are loooong, but the weeks are flying by. We celebrated Reid's 2nd month during Thanksgiving and what a cute little Butterball to be thankful for! He is such a sweet, content baby...and so laid back like his daddy. Speaking of daddy, we can't seem to figure out why when Dad puts Reid down for a nap he always sleeps "like a baby" and when dad so sweetly takes a night shift for mom Reid decides he's going to sleep a 7 hour stretch. In my opinion the favoritism is shining bright.
We also rang in the two month celebration with a trip to Dr. J and while Reid did fantastic getting weighed (14 pounds, 2 ounces), measured (23 inches long, 16 inches on the noggin'), and also gave lots of "coos and ahhs" so that Dr J knew we were developmentally moving along, he STILL had to get 4 shots. OUCH! Luke sympathized and Reid turned Red, Red, Red. Poor baby, he was smiling away and then they got him in his sweet little pillsbury legs. He was a little fussy the rest of the day, but by evening (and with a little Tylenol), he was back to his sweet and happy self. Dr J was a little concerned about his flat head (which we went through with Luke), so we have to up the tummy time as much as possible and keep him off the back of his head when we can. We're trying to avoid wearing (errr, paying) for a helmet, so we'll stay tuned on this one.
Our "Little" is doing great at eating (he prefers the bottle, so moms been hooked up a lot lately if you get my drift), and as mentioned above, is giving a lot of smiles and coos - which is simply precious. He is getting closer to sleeping through the night. The usual is a bedtime at 8, a dreamfeed at 11 and then he wakes around 4, sometimes 5. Unless of course Dad is on call, then he sleeps until 6 or 6:30, little stinker. :) The day starts at 7 and he is on a pretty good 3 hour schedule. I won't be sad though when we move to four hours, it just seems like we're constantly eating.
Luke continues to be a sweet big brother and tonight told Reid to "talk to me with your mouth." He is going to be so excited when Reid is more interactive because Luke so loves showing off and Reid is going to love it. In the meantime he gives great kisses, hands him his paci when needed, and when he's in his room crying he will open the door and say "Reid, it's ok. It's not scary." And then he'll shut the door on him. I guess the crying is a little much for him to handle.
I just love my sweet boys, ALL 3 of them. Ross continues to be 100% supportive, and for this I am sooo thankful. He is always ready to lend a helping hand, take a crying baby or 2 year old, pick up dinner so I don't have to cook and just be the ear I need to vent to sometimes with a good bear hug to go with it. I truly am blessed beyond belief and for this I am so very thankful!

"Little"

This little guy sooo loves bath time.
He soaks it up...literally and is mellow yellow when it's all done.
Our Butterball this year...no need to buy a turkey when you already have one!

Total Wipe Out!

Trick or Treat!

This Halloween we were so excited:
1. Because Luke was so excited about his Peter Pan costume. He loves the movie, so when we saw they had a costume at the Disney store, I had to get it!
2. Because Reid was here to trick or treat with us. It was tricky finding a costume for a 1 month old, but Aunt Holly saved the day with a cute little tiger outfit, that went perfectly as a "Lost Boy" character from Peter Pan.
3. Because our friends came over to help trick or treat with us, and join us in a first ever block party (at least since we've been on the block)!
4. Because a certain blonde friend's costume happened to be a certain cute fairy and she looked like the perfect Tinkerbell with Luke....LOVE IT!

Reid ready to roll!
Wednesday night we kicked off the celebration at the Fall Festival. Luke's favorite booth was "Chutes and Ladders" - I think he went through 6 times!
This was my favorite booth "Candy Land!" So creative, and such a great job!!

Starting Saturday nights festivities with some dinner, fuel for the fun!
"Let's go!

Tink and Peter Pan...precious!!

Rachel's bag got a little heavy towards the end...she made her daddy so proud!
Ummmm, I don't think that looks like you're using nice words Luke. :(

Their cute bags!
More importantly, what's inside their cute bags...some really good stuff!!
Poor Reid! All that hard work and this is all he gets. Next year he'll get to join in on the fun!
