Last weekend the grandparents made a much obligatory trip to Dallas to see the grandbabies. Since the fall weather was so beautiful, we took advantage of it and headed to Owens Pumpkin Farm. I've been wanting to take Luke for some time, and this was the perfect moment. We really enjoyed everything about the day, except for all the BEES! They were swarming everywhere, which made me super nervous. Thankfully no one was stung and we had a fantastic time!

Pumpkin Farm
Last weekend the grandparents made a much obligatory trip to Dallas to see the grandbabies. Since the fall weather was so beautiful, we took advantage of it and headed to Owens Pumpkin Farm. I've been wanting to take Luke for some time, and this was the perfect moment. We really enjoyed everything about the day, except for all the BEES! They were swarming everywhere, which made me super nervous. Thankfully no one was stung and we had a fantastic time!
Our Peapod is 1 Month Old!

We're a month in and there is no looking back! We're having a great time with Reid and the adjustment from 1 kiddo to 2 has been a lot smoother than I anticipated. Sure there are some late nights/early mornings, but we know that phase will end soon (hopefully)! :) I think we are much more relaxed this time around, but also more diligent with getting Reid on a schedule which just makes the day go so much nicer. Luke has done great as a big brother and has only seemed to have a few moments of jealousy. He loves to give him kisses and to check on him when he's upset.
We have our one month check up tomorrow, so I'll post stats once we have those, but as far as I know Reid is a great eater and has a lot more chubbiness than Luke did which I love! He is more awake these days and seems like he is trying so hard to talk to us. I'm sure he's observed a lot and has plenty to say about it. He still loves to cuddle and would sooo loved to be held all night long. Sometimes I can't resist how he snuggles up after feedings, so content. We're braving getting out with him, more for big brother's sake, but Reid is a trooper and usually just naps in his carseat. I can't tell for sure yet, but I think he's going to have brown eyes like his brother, but maybe lighter hair. What a blessing he continues to be, we just love our sweet boys!

Reid Philip Moshell

We are so proud and blessed to introduce our son, Reid Philip! He was born Monday, September 28 at 4:07AM. He weighed in at 7lbs, 13 oz and is 20 inches tall.
We were all set to head to the hospital on Wednesday, with the grandparents rolling in Tuesday night, but Reid had toasted enough in the oven and so early Monday morning he let us know he was ready. My water broke around 12:30AM and with the help of our dear friend "Miss Manda", to come and sleep over with Luke, we headed to the hospital. Thankfully they got us to the O.R. quickly because with water breaking comes not so fun contractions. I'm just glad I didn't have them for 25+ hours like when Luke was born. He was still turned breech, so they prepped for the c-section and he was here at 4:07AM.
He was (and still is) perfect, and I kept sending Ross over to check on him because I didn't get to see him for 10-15 minutes, which felt like an eternity. At first, we thought he looked like Luke, but as the hours passed, we could tell he had his own unique and super cute look. I think he has my eyes, but Ross' mouth and cheeks (from looking at his baby pictures). He is such a sweet sweet baby. He loves to cuddle, and is a great eater. When we went back to the his doctor of Friday he was 2 ounces shy of his birth weight. He is such a little love bug and because this is our second time around, I feel like I have been able to soak up the experience so much more and just enjoy this newborn phase. I know it will go by so fast, and it's such a precious time for me.
I will try my best to keep the updates flowing, but if they are a little few and far between you know why. ;)
Getting to hold him for the first time...it felt like forever until I could get this sweet boy in my arms.
A much less drugged mommy, but happy mommy. As my M.I.L. says "my cup runneth over!"
Poor Nana! She is dying to get her hands on him, but she's got a cold, so just a few more days and then she'll get in lots of cuddles. Even with a mask on you can tell she's sad to not get her share of the love.
Aunt Holly came from Austin to visit. Reid loved showing her how he could stick out his tongue and just stared and stared at her.
He loves his swing and so far has spent a lot of time there. We'll break that habit as we see needed.
Luke holding him for the first time. He didn't want to touch him, just hold him (which is fine with me). Now, he keeps asking to hold him though. Yikes!
