Spring Blooms

We went to the Aboretum with Avery and her mommy this past week and had a dandy of a time. We really do love going there and taking in the sites. It's really interesting right now because they have playhouse exhibits based on children's stories that are so fun and so creative. I'm not sure how long they will be there, but I hope awhile because they are too fun!
Cool Riders
"The Owl and the Pussycat"

"City Green"
"Bonk!"
Sweet Faces
Time for some chase
"The little prince"
"Treasure Island"
"Hansel and Gretel"

A pretty little creek
We loved the fish pond, and thankfully Miss Jess had plenty of pennies to wish with!
Sod house in the Old Texas exhibit...very informational!
All done and time for a graham cracker break!

He is Risen!

We had great Easter celebrations this year! Last weekend we participated in our first Easter egg hunt put on by the Heights. They did a fantastic job, and I really loved how they split the little ones into age groups...it made it a little more fair. Luke, however, was most interested in the big pond with the ducks. He did get the idea of picking up the eggs, but really just wanted to get back to the pond. We had an Easter visit from Nana, Papa and Gigi and Taylor came home from her long vacation. We sure missed her, although with a very busy past couple of months, it was nice for her to be away at her Nana's camp. Today we got dressed up, Ross and Luke looking most daper in matching shirts and ties, and headed to church. It was a great service, with good music. We had Easter lunch with Uncle Ryan (aka "Rynie"...we're working on it), and then headed home for naps and a relaxing day. We are so blessed...to have the awesome gift of salvation and then to be able to live lives where we aren't persecuted like so many were and still are. Thank you Jesus for all that you are!!
Walking in with Dad, so excited to see all the eggs and fun to be had!
Plotting his attack strategy.

The Battlefield
Giving Avery a "kiss." He still just goes in with his big head and waits for someone to kiss him. Silly boy!
Getting a jump start with moms help.
Now we got it down!

"Now off to where I really want to be..."
"And what I really want to do!"
Score!
Mom's attempt to get an Easter outfit picture. I promise he was more cleaned up for church, shirt tucked in, hair combed, sleeves down. This is our after lunch before nap picture!

Taylor wishing she didn't have to be in the picture too!
Almost reminds me of Ren from footloose...age 2 of course!
"Now I gotta cut loose!"

Lookin' Good!

Hello there!

We had another sonogram session with Peapod and wanted to share the cute pics. He/She is doing great so far and currently about the size of a lemon. I still don't understand why my stomach isn't the size of a lemon, but that's another question for another day and time. :) The 2nd trimester is getting to be much better, and I'm feeling more like myself. I still like to squeeze in those afternoon naps when possible and lemon water and watermelon is a must these days. We are hoping to find out if Luke is having a little brother or sister around mid-May, so if you have a "feeling" make sure to post your vote on our poll to the side!

And a nice view of the spine, for anyone who was wondering. :)
