Splish Splash I was takin' a bath...

Long about a Saturday night! Then mom got pics of me in the tub...

Hey mom! What are you doing?!

My first haircut!

Mom and dad decided I couldn't go any longer without a haircut. I think it's a great thing I have more hair than I need, hopefully that will always be the case. We went to Oklahoma the weekend after Christmas to have even more Christmas and, as it so happens, my Uncle Larry was a barber when he was going through college. Now that he's retired dabbles a little in the barber world, so I thought what better person to give me my first haircut?! He even has his own barber chair! So mom suited up and here's the finished product!

I'm ready for anything in this traveling time chair!
Got it, tilt a little this way.
One of the many items used to occupy me during my
haircut...probably steering my time machine!
Wait a second, what's going on here?!
A little celery stick to knaw on to finish me up...
And the finished product! Thank you so much Uncle Larry for giving me my
first hair cut, I love it. Next time I think we should just buzz it all!

Terrific 10 months!

Getting ready to go to the Christmas Eve service. Can you tell I have my Papa wrapped around my chubby little fingers?!

Just when all the excitement of the holidays is diminishing, lucky me gets to celebrate 10 months of earth dwelling! I celebrated the day with my pal Avery and a cruise around the mall...even though I have a feeling it was more for mom and her pals to get out, but none the less a fun outing!
Here are ten terrific tidbits about me!
1. Right now my favorite foods are mac and cheese and pears. Oh and I had a little sampling of ice cream from Chick-fil-a, let's just say when I didn't get anymore I cried, so I think I'm going to take after my dad in this department.
2. I am a little scooter. I can scoot all over the place, but please don't ask me to get on my hands and knees. Why else would I wear all that cushioning on my bottom?
3. I promoted to a big boy car seat thanks to Santa. I simply was too tall for my last one. This one is much more comfy and I really look forward to facing forward in a couple of months.
4. I like to turn on the charm by laying my head to the side on my shoulder and giving a super sweet smile. Pretty much I can get anything I want with this look.
5. My new favorite toy is my Pooh bear airplane. I can't ride it just yet, but I sure can open and close the seat lid, press the button for the propeller and try to stop it with my hands. Thankfully the propeller is made of foam. Also, I like to put toys in the storage under the seat, very handy. When I'm in my walking seat I can push it in circles around the table...good times!
6. I've officially got the hang of just two naps a day down. It took me awhile because I really get tired (and a wee bit cranky) after being awake two hours, so it takes a little creativity from mom to push me through. By 7:30 I am ready for a good nights rest...and I usually sleep until 7:30 or 8 the next morning.
7. I love lids. I have a Coke can bank that I can take the lid off and play with for hours. One day mom gave me all of her plastic lids and I went to town. I think I'm practicing for my day behind the wheel...LOOK OUT!
8. I got my first haircut...more on that later!
9. I really enjoy books, especially touch and feel books and opening a closing the cover. However, sometimes when I close the cover I can't get it back open and that causes me to become a little, er a lot, frustrated.
10. I love my mommy and my daddy! I especially love to whimper when mom leaves the room. It's getting a little silly, but I just like having her around to hold me. She would like me to be a little more independent, but for now I'm just not ready. She'll just have to endure me fussing until she picks me up a little longer.

Rockin' New Years Eve!

Happy New Year! We rang in the New Year with some music (courtesy of the Moshell/Widmer/Redding/Bayley band), food (lots of it) and loaded questions (what's a "Contra" again?) and of course friends! Wishing everyone a blessed New Year...Rock ON!!!

Kelly was by far our best lead singer...a voice like a canary!

Rachel did not make it easy for Amanda to slash on the guitar...
So the drums were the perfect fit!

Have yourself a Merry little Christmas!

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. It was so special experiencing Luke's first Christmas. Of course he was a good boy this year and got lots of fun surprises to keep him occupied until next Christmas, but it was also heart warming carrying on family traditions from our childhoods and creating a few of our own.

Happy Birthday Jesus! Luke looking at the almost life size manger scene
at the Christmas Eve service...it was beautiful!

Let the present opening commence!

Reading " 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. "

"My very own pony from Nana and Papa!"
And a new activity table from Grams and Pops!
How could we forget how fun a box and wrapping paper is?!

Hope everyone had as Merry of a Christmas as we did!
